There is nothing I love more than to see my favourite books brought to life on the big screen. There are some great movies coming out this year based on YA books. Take a look at this article to see what you have to look forward to this year.

Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J Maas

‘She would not allow it. That failure.’
Where do I start. It is a book I will remember. It has all the right elements to make a fantastic young adult fantasy book.

Kingdom of Ash is the series ending book to the Throne of Glass series. No words can describe how beautifully this young adult fantasy book is
written. It is a book that has all the right elements  which will make you
feel so many emotions at once. Kingdom of Ash is purely amazing.

It follows not only Aelin and Rowan, but Aedion, Lysandra, Chaol, Elide,
Lorcan, Dorian and other amazingly written characters in the series. It
follows their journey against Erawan, Mave and all the terrible odds to get to Teressan where the final battle will begin. It will solve all the theories
and loose ends left behind in the previous books and that makes this book so much better.

Throughout this book, I wasn't sure if I was to cry, scream or laugh. There was just so many emotions at once. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

All the bright places by Jennifer Niven

All the bright places is an amazing story and a HEART-RIPPING STORY.

Theodore Finch wants to die and he is constantly thinking of how he might
kill himself. Violet Markey has PTSD and is counting the days until graduation so she can leave her Indiana town and grieve her sister’s recent death.

When they meet on the ledge of the bell tower at school, their story
begins. And when they pair up for a project both Finch and Violet make more discoveries about themselves.

Would Finch still want to die after meeting Violet?

And would Violet ever forget about her sister's tragic death?

The one thing that drew me was the characters. They feel so real and their
connections towards each other are genuine.

This book is for Year 9 and up because it contains suicide, depression and
adult themes. It was a bit sad at the end and I cried a little!

This story is a gripping novel yet romantic novel by Jennifer Niven. My
favourite quote from this book is “You are all the colours in one, at full
brightness.”

Marked by PC & Kristin Cast

A world filled with vampires who wield special powers, 16-yr-old Zoey
Redbird is chosen to attend 'The School of Night'. She has been marked and begins the initiation process of becoming a full vampire.

Fair warning; This review is very negative, I apologise to those who
disagree with my statement.

This is one of the worst books I've read. I didn't like any of the
characters and I wasn't able to connect with the story. The Protagonist is
the typical chosen one with a personality that is all over the place. I
found the story very cliche, She's the chosen one, she gets the best
mentor, she has all and never before seen powers. Predictable, from the
characters to the storyline. The way the dialogue is written is not
something a teenager would say and the plot line is poorly written.

The only part that helped me to finish the book was just curiosity wanting to know if my predictions were right. I highly recommend not reading this book.

In 27 Days by Alison Gervais

Death has given Hadley Jamison a chance to save Archer Morales’ life.

There’s a catch...she must save him in 27 days.

This book contains the supernatural, suicide and teen drama, which provide an extraordinary plot line that will make you fall in love with this book.

This story is bittersweet and intense. I have read this book on wattpad before it was published and I am not surprised that it finally hit the shelves. It's that good!

If you love a teenage romance or being kept on the edge of your seat, I suggest you read this. You won't regret it!
